J8 Capital Management LLP (“J8”) was incorporated on 13th January 2012 in the United Kingdom. J8 is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority in the United Kingdom (FRN 767969). J8 is registered with the National Futures Association in the United States as a Commodity Trading Advisor with a 4.7 exemption (NFA ID 0516343). ​
Portfolio Management is independent from Compliance and Risk Management.

Dr. Tillmann Sachs

Dr. Tillmann  Sachs is CEO and founder of J8 Capital Management LLP. 
Prior to establishing J8 in 2012, Tillmann originated structured derivatives solutions and focused on customized rule-based trading strategies at Barclays, UBS, and AIG.
Tillmann holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering in applying artificial intelligence to risk quantification in project finance from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.

Robert is an Associate Professor at the School of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. Prof. Tiong has published extensively on project financing and financial modelling.

Sandy Chu

Sandy Chu joined J8 in October 2012. She is J8’s Chief Operating, Finance, and Administrative Officer.
Sandy has over 18 years of executive management experience in the international shipping industry with Maersk Line and Team Lines Deutschland GmbH.
She holds an Investment Management Certificate from the CFA UK and a Bachelor of Business in Actuarial Science from the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.

Ian Fridlington

Ian Fridlington joined J8 in January 2017 as risk manager and Compliance Officer.
Ian has over 30 years experience in providing investment management solutions to UK and global wealth management businesses being partner with private equity firm CopperTree Capital Management Ltd, Private Client Director with Veritas Asset Management (UK) Ltd and Head of Investment Strategy at Ansbacher & Co Limited.
​Ian holds the Investment Management Certificate from the CFA UK and is an Associate of the London Institute of Banking & Finance.

Maximilian Sachs

Maximilian Sachs is the founder of Arkmon, a systematic crypto investment boutique in The Netherlands. He joined J8 in February 2023 to further build out the systems and trading infrastructure. 
Maximilian holds a MSc in Management of Technologies and a BSc in Aeronautical/Space Engineering from Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands.

Gregor Gromer

Gregor Gromer has over 20 years of experience in Software Development, Application Support and IT Management for the Financial Industries. At IBM, Gregor has established exceptional service delivery to leading banks and insurance companies in the City of London and across Europe.
Gregor holds an MBA of the Robert Kennedy College in Switzerland.
